PRINCIPAL IN BALANCE

I wrote a new book!

As AN AUTHOR

I’d be delighted if you purchase the must-have guide to succeeding at school leadership without sacrificing personal balance.

Throughout the book, you gain actionable points to help you set achievable goals, find time in the day to accomplish them, and have time to enjoy rest at home. You’ll learn to better meet the needs of your administration, staff, parents, and students using intentional and creative actions without sacrificing yourself.

WHERE TO PURCHASE

I know it can be demanding.

As a full-time principal

Thinking you have to be everything for everyone, all the time is exhausting and unobtainable. As someone who has been on the brink of burnout a few times, I know the importance of feeling helpless and finding hope.
Are you ready to flip the script to make intentional space in your daily calendar and give yourself permission to rest?

It is hard to prioritize

As a spouse and a parent

It is hard to prioritize quality time with those closest to us.

Have you been saying yes to committees, projects, and commitments that take you too far from home? I have been there and done all of it. Leading at work and living a life requires intentionality with your time and a focus on really matters, and what can wait.

Would you like to learn to set boundaries between work and home with intentionality, and creativity?

I understand the power of words.

As a writer

Written, spoken, and posted words have meaning and the potential to build bridges or create bigger divisions. I have said things that have helped others, and also said things that have hurt people as well, in-person and online.

Would you like to build your abilities to communicate with clarity, care, and commitment; while understanding the receiver of the message better as well?

I know about  loss, grief, and grace.

As a woman trying to do it all…..

Too often I put everyone else’s needs ahead of my own, causing me to lose grounding and start searching and scrolling through social media for insights, ideas, and purpose. Getting to the end of the day and feeling guilty for not spending enough time on all the things you were supposed to do and frustrated over what you didn’t accomplish can feel like an unfulfilled life—even when everyone else thinks you have it all together.

A devastating loss taught me the importance of self-care, seeking help, and learning to build a life with grace. Those lessons have continued to shape the calling to support other women to find their own purpose in the pace of the lives we thought we were supposed to lead.

Are you ready to feel more equipped than ever before to claim the life you want to lead?

Permission to Rest: Recalibrating Before The Upcoming School Year.

This is not the year to be it all, do it all, and be it all for everyone. Actually, this might be the year to bury that mindset for good. Recalibrating your perspective of taking care of everyone else first to taking care of yourself first is going to be essential in sustaining the changes this year will bring. Admitting you need help, you don’t know it all, or you can’t do it all is the first right step.
