Breaking Out of the Kindergarten Box

All In! Finding Ways to Create Partnerships with Families in Your School.

One of the things I am passionate about in schools in making meaningful connections with families. As a former middle school administrator and current early childhood leader I know from practice that parents are a child’s first teacher and a strong bridge between school and home.

In education we have many strategies and tools we use to engage our students, but how are we involving the caregivers that our students go home to at the end of the day? Finding ways to ensure that families feel valued and appreciated go a long way to building trusting relationships now and in the future.

Last month I was able to share that passion with and learn alongside some incredible educators in Houston, Texas at What Great Educators Do Differently.

The graphic below are just a few ways that we work to engage and involve all our families at #WoodsonK
